The story of House Stragga is one of triumph and woe. For three hundred years House Stragga had risen among the nobility within the realm of Vosnia. Similar to Lyshoria, the region does not have a King. The region is governed by a collection of counts with a Domnitor chosen from among these Lords to administrate over any rules of Law as well as internal and external threats.

House Stragga

House Stragga was a noble House whose matriarch never achieved the title of count but was one of the most respected and upcoming Houses within Vosnia. It was believed it was only a matter of time before the status of Count would be bestowed to the family. But that sentiment dwindled following the ascension of the undying: a death cult committed to achieving eternal life. Counts as well as the noble Lords who served as their vassals succumbed to the lure of immortality despite the cost rendered to their families and the lowborn, they ruled over. One by one, the counts fell under the sway of the undying. Those that resisted were deemed an enemy with House Stragga being among their number.

After years of struggle that ended with betrayal, House Stragga had fallen. Only Lord Michel, his wife Yasna, and their two children survived the onslaught, their future uncertain. Both exiled and hunted, they fled from Vosnia to escape the wrath of the undying. Those of highborn and common pedigree secretly loyal to House Stragga cling to hope and prophecy that their former way of life before the undying will be restored.

"Death's cold touch covers the land,

but embers burn to stay his hand.

With wrath and vengence the flames shall grow.

The infernal whispers only shadows know.

An unbeaten heart shall lose its sting.

Blazing fires shall a Stragga bring.

The fates shall bend and be unforgiving.

As long as there is a Stragga among the living."

--- Prophecy of the Vosnian gypsies.
